Yes, and as they should've had a strategy for this worked out before they actually did it, its nothing more than there own incompetance.
And damnit i did an Ettin run today for the sake of it when we didn't have the favour and ended up with 12 Majors, didn't even spot the -35 health penalty!!!!
Man i'm pissed, i had 2 Major Healing Runes too.
I'm not gonna change anything though. I can live with an extra -40 health for that 1 superior. Especially on my casters, i'd prefer to have lvl16 of the stat and do things 'properly'. Except my necro anyway, i think i may be getting him a Major Soul Reaping to replace the 2 sups i have on my Foot scars and Bloodstained Boots (yeah i messed up a bit there).

I agree, utility first. However, it doesn't hurt the farming community. The tip of the hat may have been unintentional, but it's there nonetheless. My original comment was only made to point out that sometimes a change actually help farmers.

As opposed to enchantment mods which have uses, none of the three I mentioned were anywhere near being first choices for general usage back then. (And the only one now that has any use is major runes.)- Platemail's better than before (5 more AL, *yay*), but since when did warriors need more AL?
- Sundering is crap.
- Major runes only had two (very minor) uses: being there for people who didn't have access to superiors, or meeting certain attribute breakpoints.

That doesn't make it "their fault" for subpar equipment. They chose what they wanted, it got updated and they were stuck with (In the case of sundering, below the new minimum even) real junk.
Just because you wouldn't take something doesn't make it a bad decision for someone else.

The point being made is, if you had chose gladiator armor to begin with, you wouldn't have all these problems.
Now the issue is, the people from earlier day got ripped off, when some new commer and pay the same price for more. But, in some sense, that's really part of life.
How many times we buy PC with certain price, and then in a year, people can buy triple of your PC's ability at the same price?

Yes it does make it their fault. Unless of course someone forced them to purchase Platemail, which actualy cost more than Gladiators armor to craft - especialy the 15k platemail(I'm talking about the material cost as "to craft" costs are the same). Or major runes, which was mostly for poorer players. Or Sundering, which did and still does cost more than a 3:1 or 5:1 vamp which is still vastly superior. In all but the case of Major runes, they knowingly and willingly payed more for subpar equipment. If that's not their fault, I really don't know what is.
Since they bought it knowing it was subpar, why should they even care about it being subpar now? Just because it is *more* subpar now since the standard is higher doesn't change anything, if they were willing to purchase subpar equipment then, knowing it was subpar and not caring they shouldn't even be allowed to complain about it being subpar now. It's not even like the update made them that great. Infact there are still better alternitives to sundering and platemail just like there was. The only thing that has changed is Major runes are now far more viable for offensive casters and rangers to meet breakpoints.
